Hi, I’m Manuela.
I’m an art director, visual thinker, illustrator, and creative video producer who loves taking ideas from the spark of a concept to a finished piece that resonates.
My journey has moved between London and Italy, weaving through design, illustration, media communication, press and events, journalism collaborations, and even co-founding the webzine Switchzine. Along the way, I discovered animation as a natural language for storytelling, and I specialised in 2D animation at NAS – New Animation Sardegna, part of the Sardegna Film Commission Foundation.
I’ve worked with international clients and organisations such as Fremantle UK, Guy’s & St Thomas’ Foundation, Giant Health Care,  NHS, UNDP, Zouzounia TV,  2 CREATE FILM, Global Radio UK, Janders Dean - Legal, Oxford International, Cybsafe, Regione Sardegna, and more—bringing their stories to life through campaigns, explainer videos, motion graphics, and illustrations.
Some projects I’ve worked on:
– Motion graphics and a historical timeline for Sardegna Nuragica presented at Osaka 2025.
– Healthcare Explainer videos and illustrations for Maraltro and W.H.O.
– The award-winning short animated film S’Ozzastru (Nical Films).
– Stay With Me, illustrations for the institutional campaign voiced by Caterina Murino.
– Fuoriforma, an animation campaign tackling youth issues like bullying, hate speech, and body-shaming.
Right now, I’m working as art director and production manager, for the animated docu-film based on the life of Eva Mameli Calvino, Signora dei Fiori, produced by Nical Films.
After twenty years moving between London and Sardinia. I now work globally from my beautiful Sardinia.
This site is a window into my work, process, and the stories I help tell.
